  • Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In his e-mail message Jack types "Stavro's".
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): Early in the film Jack ignores a Stavros decoy because "Stavros is a lefty". Yet Stavros is shown firing guns and throwing grenades with both hands and he smokes with his right hand.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): A grenade thrown into a swimming pool will not produce a 30-high foot of flame when it explodes.
  • Mickey Rourke underwent a serious martial arts regimen, not only to obtain the physical appearance in the film, but also in preparation for the fight scenes with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
