Movie (2010)

"Love brought them together will fate tear them apart."

Sergeant John Tyree is home on a 2 week leave from Germany. He meets Savannah after he dives into the ocean to retrieve Savannah's purse that had fallen off the pier. John falls in love with Savannah who is a student on spring break helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. A romance occurs and Savannah falls deeply in love with John. She promises to write John overseas until he returns.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (continuity error): in the scene where John is in the kitchen with Savannah after he returns home, his rank insignia on his shirt is upside down. After he and Savannah "make up" the insignia is the right way around.
Movie Goof (continuity error): During the climatic dinner scene, John is wearing his staff sergeant rank on his shoulders upside down. (The rocker should be furthest from his neck). Halfway through the scene, it shifts to the correct positioning, and then when he leaves, it is incorrect again. This is the only time the rank on his uniform is applied incorrectly.
Movie Goof (anachronisms): In a few early scenes when John and Savannah are hanging out, it's supposed to be 2001 but Savannah is wearing skinny jeans, which only became popular again (from the 1950s or so) at the end of the decade.
Movie Goof (continuity error): Where John fire his weapon at a terrorist, the view of his weapon changes from a M4 to a M240B and back to an M4.
