Movie Goof (revealing mistake): SPOILER: When Edward is in the wine chamber getting cured, the plastic heart monitors are not damaged (melted/scorched) when he bursts into flames.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): During the car chase, holes made in the read window of the car let sun rays come in. These rays are almost horizontal, but around noon (the time of the meeting), sun rays would be almost vertical.
Movie Goof (errors in geography): While the movie is probably meant to have taken place in North America (due to the accents of the characters), during the scene in which Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe are in the Subwalk fleeing from vampire soldiers, the word 'Adelaide' can be seen on a placard, indicating that the scene was shot in the tunnels of Brisbane's Central Station which neighbors Adelaide Street, one of the major streets in the Brisbane CBD. However, numerous US and Canadian cities also have an 'Adelaide' street, most famously Toronto, Canada.
The makers of the movie hosted a contest in Worth1000.com (famous photo manipulation-contest site) to come up with images of how the world would look if nearly everyone were a vampire.
