Day of the Dead is a horror film which is nominally a quasi-remake of George A. Romero's classic zombie film of the same name, which was the third in Romero's Dead series. The film is directed by Steve Miner (who also directed Friday the 13th Part 2 & 3 and Halloween H20: 20 Years Later) and written by Jeffrey Reddick.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

Movie Goof (plot holes): It is highly unlikely that a modest gun shop in a small town would have a significant stockpile of federally-regulated Class III automatic weapons for sale.
Movie Goof (factual errors): Private Craine address Corporal Cross as "ma'am." Only female commissioned officers are addressed as ma'am. A female Non-Commissioned Officer should be addressed by her rank.
Movie Goof (continuity error): The bite wound on Bud's hand disappears while in the parking lot, then reappears when he is in the HMMWV.
Movie Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): The gun that Sarah fires when escaping from the hospital clearly has no silencer, but the sound effect used each time it fires is one that a silenced pistol would make.
