  • Movie Goof (continuity error): During Cry-Baby's band's performance at Turkey Point, Hatchet Face uses different types of saxophones between shots.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): During the song "Please Mister Jailer," when Allison is dancing on the car, her hair is blowing across her eyes but in the close ups it's pulled away from her face.
  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): The movie is set in 1954 (given away by the banner in the gymnasium during the polio vaccinations that reads "Congratulations Class of 54!"). However, Milton is seen reading a copy of "Tales To Astonish #12" in Ramona's house. That comic came out in October 1960.
  • Movie Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): When Cry Baby signals for Allison to come sing with him, his hand leaves the guitar strings but you can hear the guitar playing.
