• The casting of Mark Dacascos was the result of a poll on Jet Li's website where fans were asked who they would like to see him fight next.
• Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the auction starts, Sona says that 50 stones are available. The Pakistani buyer wins the first bid with $5.7 million for six stones, leaving 44 stones. Then the Egyptian buyer wins the next bid with $10 million for ten stones, leaving 34 stones. However, Sona then says that "there are 37 stones available".
• Movie Goof (factual errors): SPOILER: In the climactic scene, Archie is driving the tank while Tommy is in the Commander's Position (manning the .50 cal). A tank is not (and cannot be) fired from the driver's position. In addition, we later see Tommy loading the main round, this is done from the loader's position which is not easily accessible from within the tank itself. In addition, Tommy wouldn't be able to fire the round, should he have loaded the round from the loader's position and made it back to the commander's position, as the gunner (a fourth man on a MBT) actually fires the round.
• Movie Goof (revealing mistake): During the alley fight scene with the goons and Fait and Su, the stunt double for DMX's back is shown and you can see that the stunt double is of fair complexion (DMX is a medium-dark complexion black man). This occurs several times during that scene.
