Confessions of a Shopaholic Goofs/Mistakes
- Movie Goof (continuity error): At the Successful Savings office, Luke says he wants Rebecca to go to the "APA conference." Rebecca asks Hayley what the APA conference is. The camera moves to Luke. when it moves back to Rebecca, Hayley is gone.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): When Rebecca's friend is trying on the wedding dress, a pair of sunglasses appears out of nowhere. Rebecca plays with them in her hands. They go from her hands to her head, back to her hands, and disappear.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): During the fan dance, the fan changes positions between wide and tight shots.
- Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the receptionist of Dantay-West headquarters checks his email, one of email box columns is misspelled "Recieved".
- Movie Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): After Rebecca talks to the Nokia man, Janne Virtanen of Finland, he claims "We Scandinavians like her." Scandinavia consists of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Finns don't consider themselves Scandinavians.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): At the end of the movie, when Rebecca and Luke are standing together, a couple walks by. When the shot changes from Luke back to the two of them, the same couple walks by again.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): In the last scene, when Bex is walking past the mannequins and talking to Luke, every shot of Luke shows a woman in the background, starting in the same spot behind him, walking toward the camera.
- Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Rebecca is riding in a cab, you can see a close-up of the window. Two billboards are reflected in the window, but the images are not reversed.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): At Rebecca's first meeting at Successful Savings, she pulls out a small notebook and lays a pencil to the left of it. In the next shot, as she pulls out a small pencil sharpener, the pencil is on the opposite side of the notebook.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): When Rebecca and Luke are standing together in front of Acery, the mannequin in the window wears a black dress with white spots. In the next shot, it's wearing a different dress.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): At the end of the movie when Rebecca and Luke are kissing, the man in the shop places a pair of shoes facing towards the window, in the next scene the shoes are placed in different directions.
- Movie Goof (incorrectly regarded as a mistake): When Rebecca goes to Alette to retrieve the envelope that she mailed, she is rapidly presses the elevator button, and it appears she is trying to go to the 20th floor. However, the floor numbers are listed their respective buttons. She is pressing the 17th floor button, but her hand is covering the number.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): When Rebecca and Luke are kissing, the man in the shop places a pair of shoes facing the window. In the next scene, the shoes are pointing in different directions.
- Movie Goof (incorrectly regarded as a mistake): When Suze and Rebecca are going over credit card statements, Suze asks Rebecca how she will pay off "16 thousand, TWELVE hundred, 62 dollars, and 72 cents" without a job. Both women are very drunk by this point, so she probably is too drunk to read the number correctly.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): While Rebecca is in the interview at Successful Savings, the desk behind her is alternately occupied and empty between shots. In one shot, Hayley talking on the phone, with the green scarf on her lap. In the next shot, she is gone. In the next shot, she is at the door, giving Rebecca her scarf.
- Movie Goof (continuity error): The bridesmaid dress had sleeves at the beginning of the movie, but is sleeveless by the end.
- Movie Goof (incorrectly regarded as a mistake): SPOILER: Derek Smeath violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act at least 4 times: calling Rebecca at work, refusing to leave her job when asked by the receptionist, telling his colleague to threaten her with public humiliation, and his entire diatribe during the television show. However, many *real* debt collectors ignore FDCPA, since it's not enforceable if no one complains, and many debt collectors assume that most debtors don't know about it.
- Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): SPOILER: When Rebecca first throws the block of ice to free her credit card, the block falls from the stove to the floor. As the camera follows it, a crew member is kneeling down, in black jeans and tennis shoes.
