• Movie Goof (continuity error): When he visits Dale's father in the nursing home/hospital, Cooper sets his camera on the tray at the foot of the bed, aimed at the old man, but not in close-up, and he doesn't change the zoom during the scene. Yet, when he shows the recording to the sheriff, the image is a close-up of the man's face.
• Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): In the pool scene, when Cooper is getting near to Dale and Leah we can see somebody behind him and behind some bushes.
• Movie Goof (boom mic visible): When the Tilson family is moving in the house, as the camera follows them inside the house you can see the shadow of the mic following as well.
• Movie Goof (continuity error): The Jeep Grand Cherokee that is burning is an older model than the one the Tilsons drive at the beginning of the movie.
