- Lasse Kjus, the Norwegian Alpine Skier, is also a guest on the fictitious program
- Aksel Hennie who stars as Geir did all his own stunts except the "jackass"-type scene where his character jumps out of a window and falls several floors into a dumpster. In the opening DV camera sequence where Hennie climbs on the outside of a building, the director told him to climb to the second floor, Hennie himself decided to go on climbing until he was about 25 feet above the ground.
- The very real Norwegian TV channel TV2 plays a huge part in the plot, and most scenes that take place at the network were shot at their Oslo headquarters. The offices of the fictitious talkshow are the real offices of the breakfast TV show "God Morgen Norge". The reception area however was not the real reception because - according to the director - the original reception just looks like any ordinary reception and not a TV-reception. However the female receptionist in the fake reception is actually one of the real receptionists from the real TV2 building.
- The director and writer wanted a smaller and neurotic version of Stig Inge, but when 'Anders Baasmo Kristiansen' came in for audition, they soon realized that Anders was exactly the type they wanted
