Movie Goof (revealing mistake): In the gym, after Aaron sells Torrance out to Courtney and Whitney, and she declines to retire her position, when the squad decides to Learn a New Routine for Nationals, Torrance says to Courtney and Whitney, "How about it, girls?". She then looks in a direction that would put Courtney and Whitney in the bleachers several rows up instead of five feet away from her.
Movie Goof (continuity error): In the starting sequence Torrance raises up and appears to have no top/bra on. An off color gauze wrap is visible around her chest, especially when it bounces upwards.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): When Torrance pulls the controller out of her brother's PlayStation, the top opens but there's no CD in it.
Many of the stunts performed by the teams in the national competition, including all stunts more than two bodies high, the fly-overs, and the basket-tosses with head-over-heels rotation, are illegal at the high school level according to the National Federation Interscholastic Spirit Association.
