Beerfest

"Prepare for the ultimate chug of war."

During a trip to Germany to scatter their grandfather's ashes, German-American brothers Todd and Jan discover Beerfest, the secret Olympics of downing stout, and want to enter the contest to defend their family's beer-guzzling honor. Their Old Country cousins sneer at the Yanks' chances, prompting the siblings to return to America to prepare for a showdown the following year.

Movie Trivia/Goofs

→ View All
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): Despite being set in Colorado, the geography and background scenery doesn't match, and considering the beginning of the movie is set in fall/winter there is never any snow.
  • The cast drank non-alcoholic O'Doul's beer during most of the filming, although alcoholic beer was sometimes consumed near the end of a day of filming.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): The beer in the last 'Das Boot' challenge is all clearly CGI (except for Gil; "Landfill II") as the level of the beer does not match the contestants' mouths.
  • Movie Goof (revealing mistake): During the Beirut match between the U.S. and Germany, after the first German shoots, it shows it going in but you can see a yellow ball bounce on the bottom left of the screen.
