• The computer in Alfred's room is a 20th anniversary Macintosh built by Apple Computer.
• SPOILER: This is the only film (in the original series) in which none of the villains uncover Bruce Wayne's identity as Batman. Batman tells the Joker in the first film his identity of Bruce Wayne, Catwoman and the Penguin see Batman unmasked in the second film, the Riddler and Two Face find out Bruce Wayne is Batman through his thoughts in the third film but none of Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, or Bane uncover the identities of Batman, Robin, or Batgirl.
• Patrick Hewes Stewart and Anthony Hopkins were both considered for the role of Mr. Freeze till Joel Schumacher decided that Mr. Freeze must be "big and strong like he was chiseled out of a glacier".
• The sign on a club reads "The Head Room" just before the scene in which Alfred's computer likeness talks to Barbara in a manner resembling Max Headroom.
