Movie Trivia/Goofs

→ View All
  • Movie Goof (errors in geography): The Peppermill is not located on the downtown strip of Reno, NV.
  • In the movie, Christopher Walken looks at his old master, James Hong, and says that seeing him was a "blast from the past", referring to his previous movie Blast from the Past.
  • Movie Goof (factual errors): In individual Olympic sports, competitors are identified by their names, not by their nations (as many individual sports would have multiple competitors from the same nation). Randy Daytona's and Karl Wolfschtagg's names would have appeared on the scoreboard, not "USA" and "GDR," respectively.
  • Movie Goof (anachronisms): A flag of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is shown at the games of 88 in Seoul. The flag was first officially hoisted on 1 July 1997, in the handover ceremony marking the transfer of sovereignty.
