This was John Ritter's final acting appearance in a movie and it is dedicated to his memory.
Ajay Naidu's character calls Billy Bob Thornton's character an "ass clown." Naidu was in Office Space, the movie that made the term "ass clown" popular when Michael Bolton (the singer) was referred to as a "no talent ass clown".
Movie Goof (continuity error): When Willie and The Kid run into the kitchen from when the he cut his hand, the faucet is turned on, then is turned off, then following shot shows the faucet is back on without anyone turning it on again.
Movie Goof (continuity error): When The Kid sneezes on Willie, Marcus' shirt changes from green with a red collar to green with a blue vest/chaps combo.
