Bruce Broughton was hired and subsequently hired to score the remake of Miracle on 34th Street later that year both written and produced by the late John Hughes.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): When the baby leaves the gorilla cage his shoes are untied. After crawling into the park when the trio find him, his shoes are tied.
  • Movie Goof (continuity error): During the zoo visit, all three men sustain serious injury. In the next scene - the construction scene - they all seem fine. In the final scene with them, they are icing hands and other body parts and Eddie is walking as if in pain.
  • The majority of the film was shot on sound-stages at Fox Studios. Especially for the major shots in the film such as the Cotwell Mansion (which was redressed several times for other shots), The Chicago Zoo and The Construction Site, the film's major set piece.
