  • Movie Goof (factual errors): Synesius dies in 413, two years before Hypatia. In the movie he survives her.

  • Movie Goof (factual errors): Hypatia was born between 350 C.E. and 370 C.E. and was murdered in 415 C.E. She was between 45 and 65 years old when she died.
