The original title of this film was "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" (taken from the play it is based on). The title was changed after many newspapers and TV stations refused to run ads for a film with such a title.

Movie Goof (continuity error): Dan's meal on New Years Eve.
Movie Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): In the scene during the Thanksgiving dinner when Deb and Joan are talking in the kitchen after dinner, Deb comments that Dan doesn't like to smoke. We hear Joan say, "Good, Deb." However, her lips do not move when she says this.
