A new family moves into the house on Elm Street, and before long, the kids are again having nightmares about deceased child murderer Freddy Krueger. This time, Freddy attempts to possess a teenage boy to cause havoc in the real world, and can only be overcome if the boy's sweetheart can master her fear.

Movie Goof (revealing mistake): SPOILER: When the school bus drives off into the desert at the end of the film, it is clearly seen through the windows that the bus is empty except the driver.
The running time for this film is 87 minutes, Freddy appears in just 13 of them.
Movie Goof (revealing mistake): Coach Schneider is supposedly stripped naked before he is whipped. However, in one shot he is still wearing pants. This is only noticeable in full-frame video versions.
Movie Goof (crew or equipment visible): In the opening scene when the bus is coming down the street, one of the crew members is visible walking back and forth behind a tree on the left side of the screen.
