Part of a series of books by Celia Thomson. Chole King develops cat like abilities and finds out that a mysterious figure is pursuing her. Chloe learns that she’s part of an ancient race that has been hunted by assassins for millennia. Show has a teen feel to it but i watched the whole first season and loved it. If you like fantasy i would recommend this show. Has a little bit of a Buffy feel to it.
Thanks kerri I will check it out.
will give it a try
I watched the pilot episode and I enjoyed it too, I will proceed with downloading the other episodes now :oD
I watched the pilot episode and decided it was a kids/teens tv show really.
My 11 year old girls like it so I still download it for them.
@katel with the level of violence in the show i.e. girl getting pushed to her death from a building and stabbings, assassination etc i (personally) would put at least a 15 certificate on this series.
I've watched the first couple of episodes and found them okay for some kids, but haven't watched it further. Hmm, might have to watch the next one and see what you're talking about though...
Sorry Kate, it was not my intention to question whether you should censor the show for your family, I think the way I wrote about the violence makes it sound worse than it is.
American shows are less conservative when showing graphic content IMO, In the UK the pushing off a building scene would most likely be edited.
gedmen :)
I don't mind that being brought to my attention. I don't think children should be watching too much violence either, and it's good that people are watching what their children view.
So many of the good shows involve some violence these days. One of my 11 year olds has read all the 'Sword of Truth' series. and begged me to let her watch 'Legend of the seeker' Reluctantly, I watched every episode with her because of the level of violence, but boy was that one of the best shows I've ever seen!
I agree Kate and it was a shock & a shame that 'Legend of the Seeker' was cancelled.
Oh gedmen, we are still trying to get over why one of the best shows ever to hit the screen was axed!
and the same with Camelot, had a good season and then they pulled the plug on it :-[
they seem to axe all the good shows
i was really looking forward to season 3 of v but alas another one bites the dust
Agreed.
I also loved Camelot.
I still remember shows such as Sliders, which I loved. No Ordinary Family, and the list goes on. It seems Sci Fi takes a big hit. I'm not sure as many are sci fi fans as we think? It's my favourite genre. :)
Mine too Kate, Earth 2Space Above and Beyond, the list is endless, lets hope the Nine Lives of Chloe remains untouched....
Any news on a 2nd season Kerri?
earth 2 was a good one
@gedmen

thanks kerri :oD

Oh my, I love this show. Yestarday I watched 4 of 10, and today the rest. Its so good. And the finale was soooooo interesting. Crossing my fingers for season 2.
Believe me when I say, every episode is better than the last.
I heard somwhere that this is not getting picked up for a second season, so I bought the omnibus edition of the 3 books its allegedly based on.
I have to say that the TV show is barely recognisable from the books. The scriptwriters seem to have taken just about a dozen characters from the books, added a few new ones, thrown them all up in the air and let them fall differently. Plotting bears no relationship with the original, and there is no benefit apparent from these changes, in fact quite the reverse. This effort *deserves* to fail.
Wizz, not everyone has the read the books, so for those of us who haven't we are watching the series without 'the burden' of the books to use as a point of reference of how the series should or could play out, and on that basis it appears to be a series many people are enjoying and are hoping for a second season.
As to whether it will or not, I have no doubt, will depend on the shows viewing figures...
Books are usually better than their adaptations.
I have not read the books this show is based on,
but I love the show. I hope they do another season of it.
Also just because a show is based on a book or a series of books does not mean they are going to stick to every detail.
I mean Look at True Boold, and the Vampire Diaries.
Usually when a show is based on Books, what they should really say is loosely based.
Sorry for the rant , but I had to say something.
I really do like this show.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King is Cancelled...Another one bites the dust!
