I haven't watched much of the show but it is very popular here in the Uk and has already aired seven series.

Also i did not watch this show.

I checked this out on youtube - and I got hooked! I wish they would just show the British show here in the states and not remake it.

I rented the first season from Netflix and got hooked. I was surprised it had seven seasons. Can't imagine what the American version will be like since a lot of the situations were so over the top and US television has so many issues (sex, drugs, strong language-- to name a few).

well mostly i love US shows but it was also good and now i am wondering how US version is going to do better than UK version. SO lets see

The British version of Shameless was smashing....if the track record of converting UK shows to US is anything to go by then the US version will suck. Anyone remember Coupling? GB version great, US version overly sanitised.....

The pilot stuck as close to the original as possible. I liked this. I hope it can keep up as the situations get more bizarre. My recommendation --If you watched the UK version you should at least give this one a try.

Just watched the second episode - still not a family show :) - Watching this back to back with California has to be done with no kids around for sure :)

Haha gotta admit I am a big fan of the american version so far. I have the UK version but have not watched, but did get a chance to see the two new version, and like everyone else said its not a family show, but its full of LoL moments, and overall just plain good. Hope it stays that way

I haven't seem the UK version, but The US version is great. It is one of the most mind-blowing shows I've ever seen. I'm glad it is on Showtime. If it hadn't been they could not have made it as good as it is.

What a great ride. It's so addictive, and I'm jonesing for a fix.

dpbrovoje, yes it is definately worth watching. Great show. One of the best 'new' shows around

Frank makes himself out to be a victim, but he is the biggest criminal in that family that is not in jail.

I concur, definitely worth watching.
