Sorry if I got your hopes up when you saw the thread title but the latest news is it doesn't look likely to happen.

I asked our good friend romeo53 who spoke briefly with Joe Flanigan at a recent convention in Australia if he gained any info or news on SGA or SGU, this is what romeo53 wrote me...

They seem to think SGA got cancelled to make way for SGU (thats the feeling I got anyway) and they doubt the SGA movie will get off the ground at this stage, they have no idea if there will be a movie at all as they have had no contact with the stargate people at all since SGA rapped at the end of season 5 and did'nt even get asked to do a guest spot in SGU's opening episode.

So if you have any news or info or comments on a SGA movie post them here.

MGM can't afford paper for the toilets at the moment never mind get projects like this off the ground. The original SG movies were decent but didn't exactly turn into the money spinner they were hoping for.

Probably because they were posed on the net beforehand.

Nope, cult shows like SG are not affected anywhere near as much by piracy as more mainstream fare.
