I hope this is the final season, and that it wraps up nicely.

I think a complete overhaul is needed. It could be great if done correctly.

Erica Durance will be back for Season 9, with some unverified rumors saying that she'll be on for 17 episodes.

Brian Austin Green (Metallo/John Corben)

Callum Blue as Zod, and he will be a series regular.

Brian Austin Green has been cast in at least the first two episodes of Season 9 as Superman comics villain Metallo. In this version of the story, Metallo's alter ego of John Corben will be a journalist for the Daily Planet.

Monique Ganderton, an actress who has also served on Smallville as Cassidy Freeman's stunt double, has apparently been cast in the role of Alia. Alia is a beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with mysteriously intimate ties to Clark and Krypton.

This casting notice went out in may

It has been confirmed that this mason role is infact Zod. I like the idea that he will be living among everyone as a normal person.

An unconfirmed rumor is Tom Wellings has signed a 2 season contract, another rumor is the 10th year may have something to do with a movie, so says "Kryptonsite". I am just saying what i read, and it stated "UNCUNFIRMED".

I'm only up to season eight, episode 14 at the moment.

I just want to say...

Do they ever get over this Clark, Lana stage? It's boring, it's repetitive, and it's been done to death. We are over it. Move on! Eight seasons of it!

And, the show is just not the same without Lex.

I cant wait till season 9 starts.

The preview is very good.
Looks like the show is going to be pretty dark.

I just hope to see plenty of action. I think I read somewhere that Kirsten Kreuk (Lana Lang) will be returning. Does any one know if this is correct. I hope not, I hope she stays as far away from the show as possible.

The tagging of the rescue sites is kinda tacky, but I guess it is better than being tagged by ZOD. It is kinda weird having the guy who played Mason on 'Dead Like Me' playing ZOD.

Well he did play on Terminator : the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I just hope they don't keep bringing him back. They made his character too deranged.

I suppose someone thought it would be amusing to do that,unfortunately it has been a so-so start to the season.

I just hope the series gets a proper end... I didn't think it would last this long... Might be past its time.

they must make this season the last one; they already killed to many key characters in the Superman saga (like Jonathan Kent, Lex Luthor and Jimmy Olsen), after they'll kill zod and his krypto-troopers he must put on the tights and fly to.. Darkseid as he is the last archvillain that didn't get screwed before he was supposed to see the light.

I think they should end Smallville, but spin off to JLA. Now that would work.

The last episode was kinda weak, and too Resadent Evil like. If ZOD keeps killing off his followers, then they will start to turn on him.

yeah, it was a weak episode.

I really don't like the Toy master. He seems too stupid. But it does look as if the JLA is starting to come back together. So that is good.

yeah, I liked last weeks episode. I was thinking about how this show started and how different it is now... Quite a transformation.
