Watched the pilot last night. For those that don't know this is an "update" of the original 1990-2000 Beverly Hills, 90210 show. It was okay. More of Mean Girls meets Gossip Girls meets O.C. - It was better than I expected. Has a couple of cast members from the original show. I'm mainly interested because I watched all 10 seasons of the original show, so I thought I owed it to myself to see what this one was about.
do you think this will be a keeper?
I'm not sold yet, but I think I heard it did get good ratings... I'll give it a few shows to see if I like it.
Wasn't terrible, wasn't amazing. Growing up in the 90's I will admit the original 90210 was a guilty pleasure. The wife loved the new version, is definitely geared right at the ladies.
Well it looks like they have got in to a bit of hot water over the first episode.

I wasn't impressed. It wasn't anything like the original and the the characters from the original played parts for all of 45 seconds.
I don't think I will be giving this another shot. I very much doubt it will last long on our TV screens anyway.

I hope they can keep Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth longer, especially with the full season pick up.

Please! It will NEVER be the original 90210! But I have to admit, I am a little bias though.
No, as a person who saw every single episode of the original 90210 I think it will be hard to be that show. But I'm not looking for it to be. IT is simply entertaining and a guilty pleasure - and that's all I'm looking for.
