Ah, Hell. Isn't It Lovely? These are all my little souls. I used to gather them myself, but by the 14th century, I needed some help. That's how I found Morgan. He was a monk back then, so he played hard to get, but I found that with the right bait, you can catch any fish you want. In the end, he came to work for me. He became a collector. Then recently he made me the most interesting proposal. He wants to seek salvation for his clients. I decided to let him try... for now." - The Devil
Morgan Pym appears to be in his mid-30's, but in fact was born in 1322 AD, in Nuremberg. In his native land he was a monk who had the misfortune to fall in love with, Katrina, a servant girl. Before he could reveal his love to her she succumbed to the plague.
Enraged at God, he sold his soul to the Devil in return for 10 years of happiness with Katrina, which he received, but Katrina became ill again and died. Enraged, Morgan fought back against the Devil, and was offered immortality and an escape from Hell if he agreed to collect souls from others who had dealt with the Devil. As long as he kept his end of the deal, he could walk the earth, immortal, but the moment he stopped, the deal would end.
Six centuries later, he is still tormented by the Devil, and survives one day at a time in the mindless routine of a Collector's lonely existence: no sleep, no friends, and just one call a week with a name of someone in the city of Vancouver. Morgan's simple task is to find that person, and to let them know they have 48 hours until their ten years is up, then hang around until the moment comes to suck their soul down to Hell. Why the early warning? The Devil enjoys a good laugh, and watching people squirm for the last 48 hours is one of his great pleasures.

Can I ask a few small questions, why does season one range from
1350Mb to 195Mb and not be around 350Mb as with Seasons 2 & 3?
and is there any reduction in viewing quality because of this?

whoops thats 135Mb not 1350Mb.
That would be because I ran my download through Main Concept. Converting to NSTC 352x240 and elminated all the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. When reconverted to AVI it is then a smaller file per show

Yep same here. But the programs do it all for you.
MainConcept and WinAVI ver.8 both available on Mininova
They take time but I find it well worth it not to have the black bars showing on my TV.

For any that are still worried about quality in season one.
There is no discernable reduction in quality.
And it's a fine Canadian show (it's set in Vancouver).
Okay..I couldn't resist. I've started watching this show. Has anyone noticed that in most shows with magic, devils, vampires, etc..there's always that pesky (vulnerable) reporter/blogger?

That's so that people will sympathise with the main characters as they might get found out!
Mind you if they were really any danger the Devil would do something about them, wouldn't he?
So yes it's a stupid character to have.
