Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle) stars in this drama focused on a mid-life crisis gone bad for a high school chemistry teacher who becomes a drug dealer after he discovers that he has lung cancer.
Breaking Bad is produced by High Bridge Productions, Inc. and Gran Via Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television for AMC.
Watched the trailer, not sure what to think! Shows 6 episodes so far.
yeah it is one of the exciting tv show and Breaking Bad Season 3 is also ready to rock.
Why aren't there more people on this thread?
There should be an entire thread here devoted to each season!
If there is, someone please direct me because I have much to say about the season 3 premier.
This is my second favorite show, right behind Dexter. If you haven't jumped on this bandwagon you need to ask yourself why?
Fantastic premier from a truly fantastic series!!!
@ uncertaingod: I couldn't disagree with you more about the second season. There might be some things that didn't jibe with the "flavor" of the first season, but I still thought it was worthy. Nevertheless, it is what it is now, and I hope you've tuned in to the third season. Let's hope it gets better from here. I personally have "high" (pun intended) hopes!
Just finished watching season 2
This show is still going strong.Awesome first episode in Season 3. Plenty of new mysterious elements and revelations. Can hardly wait until Sunday for the next one...
Agreed, 3 was a good, albeit, pretty tame episode. But seems to be setting the season up nicely.
With the first two episodes down it definitely seems like a slow build to this season so far, but it only makes me think that the action is about to really pick up.
I was expecting a little faster pace with the awesome foreshadowing of the first episode, but I guess they still have loose ends to tie up from last season.
If it's one thing, however, this series is good at it's foreshadowing. Hopefully they can keep up the excellent use of this tactic like they so brilliantly did through all of season two.
One bright spot so far has been Bob Odenkirk (attorney Saul Goodman).
This season is boooooriiiingggg so far! They definitely have a long way to go to redeem both this season, and maybe the series in general.
I'm very disappointed.
All the characters are just spinning their wheels, and it seems like things are building to a "climax" that won't be very satisfying.
Definately started off slow but this latest episode was definately the best of the new season, hope it continues on this track
It took seven episodes, but they finally got to some real action. Best episode so far. I guess we'll see how the rest of the season goes.
Just the finale left. This season's been mostly meh, but this past one.... Wow! Just, wow!
Just watched the S3 finale, and I gotta say: Hats off to the makers of this remarkable show! How anyone could not find this season extremely entertaining,is beyond me.
@Crawen
It definitely took a different turn from the first two seasons (much more of a focus on the character's moral dilemmas, and some nuts and bolts of the drug trade). Not as much action as the first two seasons, but the last few episodes this season did bring it around to an exciting end (and a pretty intense cliffhanger).
I'm not sure how Walt and Jessie will get out of this one, and how things will go forward from here. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
It's got the dad from Malcolm in the Middle in it. Wasn't sure about this until I saw him as a guest on John Stewart. So I might give it a try.
June 15, 2010: As the third season has now wound to an end, AMC has moved quickly to confirm that there will, indeed, be a fourth series of its hit show Breaking Bad.
I will be glad to see how Walt pulls out of his new dilema. I am also curious to know if Walt's DEA Brother-in-Law will break bad.
I 1st tuned in at about episode 7 and thought it was funny enough to watch more....and more.... It is bizarre but aren't most shows these days? Some of the stuff they come up with on this show just makes me want to watch it again. I thought I was gonna loose it when Walt was walking through the grocery store in his birthday suit. Hey if you're gonna fake amnesia, who's not going to believe ya after something like that.
Walt's DEA Brother-in-Law is a trip. He didn't seem so tough when he saw that informant's head on the turtles back.
If theres one thing I don't like about the show is how close to the truth it comes to our chemical drug problems. Not something I would let a child watch obviously.

Hi, I love this TV show so much that I have composed a complete song out of the main title theme of Breaking Bad: The Breaking Bad Song. And in youtube you see the music video for that song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzGl-2cAfeQ Enjoy it and tell others about it :-) To all lovers of breaking Bad, Matthias from Hannover/Germany
A little slow but worth it.
Wow, season 4 premiere was excellent in my opinion! What a start! I can hardly wait for the next one..
Very exciting episode!
Last nite's episode was so good. Bryan Cranson & Aaron Paul give such powerful performances each week. It has been very interesting to see the change in Walter's personality. The actor who plays his wife, their son her sister & her husband -- all great.
I was really getting into this show before I moved. I've missed quite a few of the episodes. I agree - the actors grabbed my attention too.

NEW SEASON IS AMAZING!!!! Caps intended
The episode on Oct. 9th was great. Now we have to wait until next August for the new season.
Yeah. Season 4 was the most epic yet, i just rewatched 1-3, and then; season 4 right after.
Because I watched the other seasons when they originally aired,- it's been a while.
and there were a few things I had completely forgotten about.
Have you noticed the reoccurring use of the colors green and purple? I dont know if I asked about this on here before, purple I think because everything that Hank's wife wears or owns is purple. But green is everywhere.
Oh and season 5 will be the last...
Theres a difference between shaving and cutting your head off, so I'm glad they quit when theyre done shaving.
One more Season seems it would wrap it up nicely,-
Hell,even the ending on Season 4 could have been the last, and it still would have been a more satisfying finale than for instance "The Sopranos" had.
So hats off to everyone involved in the production of this show! You are sexy people!
Now AMC needs a new show that will fill the chasm left after this show.After they cancelled the promising 'Rubicon',- all they have left is a half-ass Zombie show which I have no interest in personally.
At least they have shown that they CAN make quality TV if they want to with Breaking Bad.
Hope there will be more treats following...
I've never watched this show. Is it really good?
I love shows such as: Revenge, ringer, being Erica, One tree hill, Merlin, Gossip girl, and most Sci Fi stuff, so would I like this then? :)
@katel
This show is in a category by itself. I would suggest you watch it from the very beginning; see if you like it -- it's very interesting.
Thanks, Tash. I might DL a couple of season one episodes and give it a go. :)
One of the best shows in the history of television.
Supposedly the final season (5) will be in 2 halves, the first 8 will start in July 2012, the second 8 some time in 2013.
I am so excited to see how this amazing TV show plays out.
@docnutnut
Thanks for the info.
@tash
:-)
Why they do that?? No idea.....it's torture really. Glad to see that they didn't nuke it and it will play itself out. I liked the story line but you can see that it was becoming an end of life show.
I am more then curious in how this show will end. What will happen to Walter White?
There's a repeat on tonight from last week.
Due to the final season being in 2 halves, I imagine that there will be 2 distinct storylines, each with a certain sense of completion to them. What the 2 halves will be though, I have no idea.
When 'Lost' was finished off, they totally ruined it by dragging it out over too long a space of time, but there has been too much thought put into Breaking Bad (in my opinion) for them to ruin it by needlessly cutting the final season in 2.
I like to think that we will come to accept why the mid-season break will be done and I hope that the reason is not that the producers have been smoking too much Blue.
Whatever the case, this is easily one of the best TV series' (if not #1) I have ever watched...
...
...
bitch.
;)
I miss this show so much. Won't be seeing it again till July, 2013. Seems like way too long. :-(
