I decided to created a thread about my Favorite show and possibly yours too Eureka.

What is Eureka?
Eureka is an American science fiction television series set in a town inhabited entirely by geniuses. In the UK, it is known as A Town Called Eureka.

I put some of the cast names in case you forgot them.

This thread is for FAN of the show to share there ideas and questions.

Some of the questions that are about the release of the season 3 theres no way to tell because of the writers strike but it will be around the summer 2008 HOPEFULLY.

Maybe now is a good time to catch up. Eureka is one of those series where we caught a few episodes in our net, they seemed OK/showed promise for the series overall but it was obviously something that you gotta see either from the beginning or at least a lot of the stories in sequence to "get". Between moving to a new city and other things we missed too much. As mentioned in another thread, the writers strike gives us a chance to catch up on shows that otherwise would be missed....

Not slighting your effort. Thought this is what the comments section was for on the show page where fans cound post their views.

Would hate to see the forums filled up with everyone making their own show thread for their favorite show or shows).

Well Joker I think this is one place where the rules get iffy; his post was maybe better for the review section yet I would like to respond...but since I have not seen enough of the show to give it a "real" review, just some general feelings, this part of the forum felt more appropriate....

From another perspective, there are hundreds of show threads in the review section; most of us don't have the time/attention span to go through them all looking for new shows to watch (we are after all the TV generation) so posting something in the mainstream forums to attract interest to a show would not seem out of line.

This post did the missus and I a great service. Having just finished (re) watching the entire run of Firefly, all four seasons of Roswell and are nearing the end of the first four seasons of Spooks, we were looking at our choices and asking ourselves "What Now?".

Now we have another choice. Notv (odd handle for such a venue), mission accomplished bro.

Thought it worked this way.
You find a show that you like and add it to your favorites (My Shows). You can then click on the show to bring you to the Shows Page. At the bottom of the page is a place to TALK ?????? (Give your review). I thought that that was where you could comment on the show to other fans of the show. Or is it now just a place for reviews only. What is a review?
I always thought the 2 words could be interchangabed. As a review is a comment about something and a comment can be a review about something.
Example:
His review of the show was bad.
His comment about the show was bad.

Still think I am correct.

The rules for entries on the show page have been changed.

Take your point about comment/review but there is in this case a difference.

a comment can be "I didn't like it"
a review would also give the reasons behind the comment.eg. Bad acting, sets, storyline and so on.

This show returns in july!!!

This is one of my summer time favorites... I hope they are able to keep things fun and interesting in season 3. They left things on quite a serious note at the end of season 2...

Well like the show and think season 3 will be good.

I'm happy it's returning. It's a lightweight show, but has its bright spots. I'll be watching (and, yeah!, good stuff for summer--you gotta love cable).

The show goes into production 05/14/08. Hope all goes well on the first day of filming. I can't say I miss the show, because I watch it regularly or is that religously. I can't wait for a new episode. I need answers.

Just finished watching Season 1, don't think I've laughed so hard at a show since Red Dwarf. Can't believe I missed it until now. I'll watch season 2 tomorrow.

Hey, y'all might want to know that the actual California town of Eureka has been named one of the top 10 cities in the US by some travel magazine. I saw that in the news online when I was doing a search.

It's a good program, but the activities in the program more resemble the university town that is adjacent to the actual town of Eureka.

The time will fly till the next episode, and I'm just flat out glad it is going for another season!

Well, unfortunately I'm recording it on my DirecTV (only way I can get it in HD here) system which I have not hacked to get recordings out of...

aahhh well that's ok, I'm sure it'll be up somewhere soon. I'm hitting up like four sites checking for it about every half hour.

I'm watching it right now on tvu(http://www.tvunetworks.com/ its a free p2p streaming tv pogram and it's got sci-fi) I've been using TVU for a year or so and it runs great.

this show is great entertainment! i found this second ep to be better than the first. i really enjoy the scientific focused episodes more than the eps that are character focused...although i do like watching the carter/allison/stark interaction.

I'm glad The show has gotten passed the second season... I could see potential at the beginning, though it was a bit rough, I think it's polishing up nicely now.

The characters are great and I think that Carter in his own way is a genius. Just think how he seems to have a "break through" on every show when solving a case, though he only has an 111 IQ.

I also love the fact that they try to really make the concepts believable, by using a lot of real science.

Too bad they submitted to the product endorsement craze that seems to plague, well, everything any more.

None the less I hope it has a long life.

Yes product placement bad. Carter is street smart and living in Eureka has kept him on his toes. And I believe it is making him smarter the longer he lives there.

@odo the last few mins i though it was a mushroom cloud from an atomic bomb and the film can said something about report if seal is broken then the film showed a military jeep driving past the eureka town sign

what could it mean?

i was wondering if it could be the artifact, maybe that's what they tried to destroy with the bomb?, or they didn't realise the effect radiation would have on the town site

They are dropping clues here and there about what Thorn is looking for. It really was hard to read what was on the film canister, but I am sure they will show it again. How about that mole man car on the last episode. Now that was funny. And exploding robo dogs what a funny theme.

I love Carter's Sister. She is a good fit as a new cast member, and she has the genes to produce smart offspring. Like the Sheriff did with Zoe. I do believe it was about time they got rid of Stark. Although they made it pretty permanent. Wow what an ending.

Yes a very good episode. I just watched it and loved every minute of it. Those Egyptians really knew how to party. Once again the Sheriff saves the day with a little help from his friends and family.

Well it wasn't Fargo in the suit, but someone just as stupid. It also seems Zoe's boyfriend has a bad habit of pushing buttons of which he knows nothing about. Maybe he is related to Fargo somehow. I believe that Red headed woman is gonna bite off more than she can chew. Like when Stark tried to take a sample of the Artifact.

Overall I think that was a very weak episode.

Sounds good to me. If there is a deep dark secret, then between Carter and Henry I do believe they will uncover it. And bring whom ever is responsible to justice. If it is associated to the artifact, then Henry will surely want to know. There is a strong possibility that it is.

ok, well that scifi.com/pulse thing has changed, I guess you can find the webisodes on youtube and hulu though. They follow a seperate storyline with several of the main characters of Eureka.

it seems like ages since this was on, i don't think it's fair that the networks expect us to drop and pick up shows like this. In the UK there are rarely if ever mid-season breaks like this, they whole series is generally shown uninterupted. Apart from desperate housewives which stopped for the summer while big brother was on , then restarted 3months later and just continued from where it left off then straight into the next series with no break!

IDK, I've seen that invisible, phased out people act on like three diff Star Treks and two Stargate SG1 Episodes. I hope they can find something more original in the near future.

Just read on TvRage that they had green lit another 22 episodes for season 4. It made my day.

Just watched Episode 3.16 and it so felt like a recap and happy memories, kind of like a "final" episode. Thank you for the assurance there will be a fourth season..... I'm so relieved.

Also I read somewhere that Eureka is being recorded in British Columbia, Canada. Is this right?

I would not be surprised if it is filmed in Canada. It seems like a lot of TV shows and movies are filming up there because it is cheaper than shooting in the US.

And some of them are the better for it.

is it being renewed for another season the last episode seemed to be wrapping things up for either new characters which I dont think would work or ending it

I got these 2 positive comments from the Tv.com site and there was a video annoucing 22 show pick up for season 4


syfy, have picked it up for a 22 episode 4th season. as for who is going to be in it, and when it will air, thats anyones guess.

All that being said - there still isn't a lot being said re the new season. You would have thought there would be more press.

From the last episode it appears that the writers didn't believe there was going to be another season, so the take up was not even known by the planning staff

Anyway here's hoping - I wouldn't mind another season - it would be interesting to see were the writers take it.

Carter's new love interest is on the Eastwick show...

She also did a stint on Mental recently as a love interest

Now that Eastwick is being canceled maybe they will bring back Tess Fontana, because I believe when they put Jack and Alison together that will be the end of Eureka.
