personally, i dont think this show is gonna work, but i give it a second chance today.

it kinda of reminds me of something Tim Burton would make, I like it

Without all the hype, I probably would have never watched this show. I watched the first episode, and I was dissapointed. the narration was annoying and the show itself was a bit cheesy and boring. But I'll give it another shot - It is very visually appealing in HD.

Yeah that is one thing that I really liked was the visuals...even on my lil old regular non HD tv....lol!!!!

Well, I liked the first episode (haven't had time to watch the second yet) and I like the narration - it reminds me of the old "filler" cartoon Fractured Fairy Tales...

Well episode 2, like I said before made me chuckle here and there...Then it got alittle 'silly" ..Not ready to cut it yet..Going to try again next week.

I like CTD's they make a show worth watchin I wish they still did those CTD psa's they were funny

This is looking like a love it or hate it kind of show...

Well that makes it good for discussion anyway.

It just gets confusing if someone(i.e. me) feels pulled in both directions: love and hate.
I'm not terribly excited about the show, but can't stop watching either. Maybe the picture will clear up after a few more eps.

I got very excited about the first episode. It felt like a heavy Amelie rip-off, but a good one, so I don't mind. However, the second episode was a HUGE disappointment. What kind of storyline was that? that was not even fairytale, that was just lame.
Also, it feels just a little bit too glossy.

I really prefer Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls, both weird feelgood series as well, but with still a certain darkness to it, which is lacking here...

However, I will give it another chance, let's see how it develops.

I'm with you ipswich, I'm not dying to see the next episode, but I know I'll watch it... The second episode did seem to contain much more narration than the first and it got somewhat distracting, so I now understand previous posts about that... I hope to see more of Swoosie Kurtz as one of the crazy aunts... Anyway, it's good to see lots of Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls fans here too!

Yeah, with so many other shows that I like, I didn't want to get "addicted" -- where I'm watching just to keep up, not because I like the show. I have a hard time cutting shows after that happens... Besides, if people say it gets a lot better or something, I can go back and catch up...

I tend to d/l and watch seasons at a time to the exclusion of most other shows.
My absolute favourites like SGAtlantis, Eureka & Heroes I do watch as episodes are aired.
Doubtless we all have varying ways of watching shows.
I suppose I do it this way because I have so much to catch up on especially having found shows on this site that I had never heard of before(Live in UK)

Eureka is one of my fav shows too, and Heros..they are awesome!!!

Did anyone else notice how "Heroes" is almost the same as "The 4400"?

they have similarities, but Heroes is in higher league in every aspect.

It's like a conversation you start with one thing which leads to another..which leads to another..which leads to another..which leads to another.. and sometimes even gets back to the original subject!

See...that is what I love about this site. I haven't even seen a single episode of the show and I am waiting to see what everyone says...I can wait for a few eps to go by the dl and watch in a marathon. love the dialogue.

so I said it and I hope I find a working streaming-link first thing friday morning - I already spend so much time watching all the new episodes of all my shows, I can't spend twice as much time looking for them - It's just not healthy

Honestly, I got that bored waching the first episode that I almost closed it before ending. Tim Burton is a god in what he is doing, and that has nothing to do with Pushing Daisies! The concept is interesting but that's al it has..

I DLed the 2 eps and only watched the first one so far, but I'm loving it. I love the cartoonish feel to it even though that is usually a turn off. I think they found a very nice balance for the humor.

I love the narration and I love the fact that the principle from Boston Public is in it. He is funny here.

In the episodes I watched, Chi McBride (from Boston Public) was the only character I did like...

After 3 eps I have to say, this show has become like TV comfort food (no reference to the pie hole, cause I don't actually like pie), I just see Juila's points about the show... No real good guys, no real bad guys - it's a nice break from the "hustle and bustle" of all the other dramas and comedies out there...

yet. most likely there will be a bad guy character that develops eventually(assuming the show stays on)it'll be someone who figures out the pie-makers secret and and perhaps threatens those closest too him to get what he/she wants out of him and of course the waitress will inadvertently betray him due to her own curiosity/jealousy oh yeah and Chuck will be angry at pie-maker for keeping secret about her parent.

The chinese guy's accent had me laughing really loud LOL! I still laugh everytime i remember it.
The third episode is definitely better than the second.

This show is pretty cool. :] I like how they try to kind of figure why certain people are dead. It's a pretty easy show to follow if you miss it.

I really like it... but i have a problem I can't see it before i go to bed because then i'm quite anxious about death and especially death of my close family and friends... yeah i know it seems weird... but this show is all about death and death of people you love....

anyway... i like the atmosphere and the music and the colors and the characters (especially the main character)

I watched both seasons of Dead Like Me and I didn't like it. I kept watching cuz i wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
Honestly, the show was depressing and not that entertaining. I like Pushing Daisies a lot more.

Just read through the post Peter Jones was the voice of the book the the Hitch Hickers Guide.
I have to say, watched 2 episodes so far, the show has peaked my interest but still not sure, going to give it a couple more.

Well, I'm still lovin' the show, I always enjoy seeing "the aunts" Swoosie Kurts and Ellen Greene... Looks like next week will be the season finale and based on the episode description, it could get a bit intense...

I could tell by the episode description for the finale that it would include "the" reveal, but I didn't realize they were going to set it up in the past episode, wow! I think actors are going to be "lined up" to guest star on this show in seasons to come... It's perfect for one-time, quirky appearances...

Honestly..I think Molly Shannon would do anything. I never was very fond of her. This is right up her alley.

So I guess after watching the whole season, I would have to say I am hooked and will be waiting patiently for season 2 to begin...whenever that may be.....

As far as season finales go, it was a bit of a bomb to drop, but at least it wasn't a cliff hanger (I hate those)... Looking forward to the next season too... I'm guessing we'll see more Pee Wee Herman (Oscar Vibenius, the sewer guy) and that would be okay with me...

Pee Wee Herman in this show does not surpise me, however, it does disturb me. He always did freak me out as a kid. Connect the dots..LALA LALA LA...

Finally got round to watching that 9 ep run today and wow, what an utterly superb show. I love the flow of the dialogue and the pain you can feel between those two is tangible. The visual style is great as well, I was never a fan of blue anyway and modern cars look crap anyway.

Waiting with baited breath for news on the next season which I think goes back into production in the next 10 days.
