Hi just watched the Pilot of the Sarah Conner Chronicles.

If you liked the movies you'll love this. It's an almost seamless continuation. All the characters/actors are extremely believable in that context.

There is a new adversary and a new protector who must be seen and there is a new twist on the law enforcement lead.

Plus the closing hook makes you eager for the series to start to find out what happens next.

All in all so far every bit as good as the movies.

Didn't watch the pre-airs because I want to watch this all in one go, though everything I have heard seems good, looking forward to it.

I saw the series premier. Good production quality and dramatic. It is on my 'to download' list alongside Jericho for the 2008 season.

first episode played last night...tonight the 2nd episode is playing...looks like it is action packed too...

The opening episode was superb, I really didn't think they could capture the atmosphere on the small screen but this is terminator at it's best. Can't wait for the next one.

no as far as I know T4 isn't connected to SCC, T4 starts off where T3 left off and it'll be a Feature Film, but Arnie won't be in.

because in that time Arny model is not build yet.
But we probably will see/hear some things about it, may be see Arny for few seconds.

Just watched the second night; the first was essentially a repeat of the first film kicking around the net (although the changes were interesting to say the least, at least to me and as everyone knows, I am an easy to please kinda dude. So I am OK with where it was as of the second show. There were certain things that just HAD to happen to make the mythology work and while it kinda sucked the life out of the second episode, we now take comfort in the fact that with this out of the way, the writers were free to go and do what they wanted to with the story; note how all time leaping and such just worked around the actual series of movies: Now Sarah (having "died" a few years earlier) is free to make what changes to the timeline they want. As for John, there were a lot of years represented between where he is in the TV show and where it wound up; we only can be reasonably sure of: Sarah will eventually go back to her "normal" time and die to complete the timeline. John just has to continue as he is, sorta headed for delinquency.

A sorta funny thing crossed my mind as I was watching it: So John Conner of this time goes through whatever the hell he does, in the future the first time (Terminator 2) he sends back Arnold, the second time (the TV Show) he sends back Summer Glau, and the third time (Terminator 3): he sends......Arnold? Either something intense happened to John of the future we aint't privvy to or Summer Glau has some strange defect of which as a guy cannot imagine, so bad he has to go back to the first model?

If I were john, even if Summer Glau was not as good as Ahnold, I still just send two of her ;)

Aways end up with some kind of paradox when time travel is involved.Have never seen a show or movie that could get it right.

in T3 they actually explain why Arnold model is sent back the 2nd time (He was the closest thing to father John had)

in TSCC there is also a good reason why Arnold model isn't sent back (John Conner can't afford to send back the Governator anymore, not on a TV budget)

but I think the Terminators in the Show are actually the same model, but they are meant to pass as human so of course they would have to make them all look different otherwise they'd be too easily identified.

I think it's clear that Summer's character isn't a normal machine, from the way she acts, to when the other machine was scanning her it came back with "unknown cyborg".

I think that will probably be one of the big story points for the show.

can't wait to watch this. Have it on my favs so I know when it is on. Not on tv here yet and i don't want to dl and then its cancelled, America is funny that way. Over here show runs to the end even if no-one likes it! I don't mind dl a series if i know its cancelled but i don't like not being able to get the next episode unexpectedly. Does anyone know how its doing?

I actually expected Bionic Woman to be lame, but I had a strong feeling that T:TSCC would be great, but I've always been a die hard Terminator fan so...

That last episode definitely through in a cool twist.

Bionic Woman could have been great, if they had only had Katee Sackhoff as the Bionic Woman and did away with the weak Michelle Ryan.

Why doesn't Skynet send a Terminator back to eliminate Sarah Connors lineage,thus,preventing sarah or John ever being born...problem solved.I think this is an issue the producers need to resolve,before my head explodes.Maybe Sarah Connors long lost twin she never knew she had may turn out to be the brain behind the inspiration & creation of Skynet & this would be the reason for her lineage remaining untouchable.

IIRC, In the original movie, they didn't know exactly which sarah connor it was they needed to eliminate, so they were killing them all. That was the explanation in the first movie. Not sure how that holds up in the TV series though...

Since the machine have no way to broadcast back to skynet then it follows that they still don't know her family line then.

from the beginning(the 1st movie), I had seem many holes in the Terminator mythology, but I still thought that the Action/FX were awesome so I overcame the other stuff through suspension of disbelief ;)

I think this show has scope for some good story telling. Anyone notice how Cameron is already becoming "more human" and how john is bonding with her. I think in weeks to come we will all feel for her, if we don't already.

I think you right, the producers did intend it. Did you see the clip after Cameron dumped the metal in show 4. She kept a piece, she looked at it and you could tell she was thinking that's what I am im different from John and Sarah if that's not a form of emotion then I don't know what is.

Two observations on that (Summer Glau getting emotions):
1. This may seem heresy to some but at present Summer Glau (young female terminator) has to produce the exact same emotional range as she did in Firefly. This is not to take anything away from either portrayal or Ms. Glau as an actress since each role demands that socially daffy yet superior attitude or demeanor. This may be all she has been given to work with, this may be all she's got. Thus:
2. If she does develop emotions, while the event itself would be interesting, I would be highly interested to see where it would lead in say 4 years....

More worrisome though is if she can gain emotions, she can also gain emotional problems such as paranoia, become a psychopath for real, that sort of thing. For someone who could bench-press Miami, this would be a problem.

OOOOO..i am so mad...wouldn't you know...just when the show is about to start....i figured out that my furnace crapped itself and spent most of the hour on the phone and up and down the stairs trying to get it fixed....GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!...So I missed it...all but fleeting moments as i rolled thru the livingroom for this that or the other!!!!...so glad i have ways to catch it..which i will try to do at some point today...

I too, as most i am sure, see the simularities in the "acting"/"action" of her now and former characters. It kinda freaks me out to see a face with out emotion..blank stare...

As I said before..I see that she has a curiousity and ability to ask questions in order to "learn".

What I did catch of the show ...she is not a new terminator by any means..and we have yet to know just how old she is..which makes me wonder if she really is capable of evolving into an emotional state...

But we still get stuck with a 888 looking at her and seeing an unknown model and her way of thinking just seems to follow a different path from a standard metalhead.

Well she does say she is a cybernetic organism. This would/could suggest ability to evolve. As I suggested before. To what extent, is still a question we hopefully will have a chance to figure out. She did eat A bite of food...What kinda internal system is she working with?.....Hence the end shot of her tonight and the narrators comment....

A 2 hour season finale....already..heck I am still spreading the word about the show...Seriously not ready for it to end and to start the search for word on whether a 2nd season is in order.

The two atresses are amazing!

The construct of the characters are been helped by the writing but the actress who makes Cameron is so good that certainly she is naturally inducing the writers, to grow the participation of Cameron in almost all scenes.

I took that as not part of the terminators orders. At that moment in time he(terminator) was not being threatened. So he had no reason to harm the FBI agent left.

But that terminator has been taking down everything in his way to get to John and protect Skynet's future.

It got rescripted because the original plan for season 2 was thrown out, it's still the same principal writers though.

@zandar I saw the movie trailer too.. I think we might have another year or 2 of the show. Isn't the tv show set between movie 2 and 3? I can't remember.

The show is set between 2 & 3 but the events of three are not exactly as they happened in the film, different timeline but same result.

Sept 13 it`s back!

Not too sure if the creators of the TV show and the 4th movie have any kind of interaction, but the TV show show probably be a type of prequel to what happens in the 4th movie that was not answer in movie 3.
