Looks like the Sci-Fi channel has picked up Sanctuary... Just read the following from the News link here on ShareTV:

"Sanctuary," which features 90 percent CGI sets, will be retooled for its transition to television, including the creation of a new two-hour premiere episode. Still, a lot of the footage from the Web series will be used, with some enhancement of the visual effects and the CGI background to play better on the TV screen. The cast from the Web series will remain intact.

The article stated that it will start in March (this year).

Just watched the Web series it is great. With Scifi Channel picking up will there be more or is the series now on hold?

Based on the article I read, it looks like Sci-Fi will be taking possession of the show and re-working the first season (that you already saw). I guess they want to make sure they have a good TV-based audience before they invest $ in a second season...

Please can any-one say for sure how many more there were?

TV.com Lists 9 eps. Only 8 were shown the 9th is a TBA.

Just finished watching the webisodes, I hope Sci-Fi don't screw it up in the transition to tv.

Just finished watching the first of the TV show and I'm really liking the rewrite and how they have gave the show a bit more focus. I will continue to watch.

Just watched the first episode. I was pleasantly surprised. I will continue to watch too.

I find it odd that originally they were using the whole 'webisode' thing as a big draw and making it sound like they were doing it like that forever so that they could retain all that independence and freedom they tend to lose when they contract with sci fi network or other networks. But its a good show so I'll download it for free and watch it anyways. LOL I'm sorry, that was bad of me right?

They really did it good and didn't screw it up, it's even made in Canada....Da Da!

I feel this show has excellent potential & will be added to my upcoming episodes list for sure.


p.s. I watched it in the Television Online section of the site,it saves having to d/load it...Excellent!

This show is excellent and only spoiled by the stupid Sci Fi networks idea of banner ads for the show that you are watching or what's coming up that are now covering almost half the screen. It seems to be getting worse as the weeks go by soon the whole screen will be filled by this BS advertising.

There are only 2 episodes right now, the premier was 2 eps in one and this should be listed as season 1 episode 3 not 4.

Just to clear things up The next two eps are 1x03 Fata Morgana & 1x04 is Folding Man.These are listed correctly in the 'your recently aired episodes' & 'your upcoming episodes' sections.

but Fata Morgana is incorrectly listed in the online videos as 1x04.

The banner ads by the Sci-Fi channel atm are beyond a joke but it was a good episode and once again the changes they have to since the webisodes serve to enhance the story well.

Kush was a good episode, nice to see they are keeping the quality up with the completely new scripts.

Then again the episode waqs spoiled by stupid banner ads. Did you notice that one ad was on there for the whole program. They are not even paid for ads but ads for the SciFi channel upcoming programs. I think its time for a writing and emailing of complaints scenerio. Maybe if enough viewers start complaining to the network AND the advertisers they will get the message.

blkhole could not agree with you more. Every single tv station that I know of is doing something similar to this.

By the way those adds are perfectly leagle, there is no rulings from the FCC about how many or how long an add can be. (I checked)

We should also include the Chairman of the FCC in the Anti-ADD Campaign.

Excellent episode this week, it came across as there very own take on Trouble With The Tribbles.

Actually there is a limit to the amount of time in a program that can be used as advertising. That is why they have commercial breaks. The thing is that these ads because they are banners are not taken into account as commercial breaks. I'm sure that if enough people complained not just to the networks but to the advertisers and said they were going to stop watching something would be done. As the Obama said we can make a change!!!

Good news on the pick-up for the 2nd season because I am really enjoying this one,latest episode was good too.

Glad this one was picked up for another season, it deserves that.
The story lines have progressed well past the internet version and expanded into an array of possibilites. The story lines seem well thought out and have the added advantage of being continued through a projected timeline. I see these are now in book format now as well.

Enjoyed the web series and the tv series is just as good.

This weeks episode was superb, it was great to see the change in Amanda Tapping's character.

This weeks was ok,but the underground streetfighting racket has been done in Angel & S.T.Voyager to name two...

Bit of a typical story but used to bring the cabal story on a bit so worth it.

I agree. Nothing special, but entertaining and an episode to build on with her father and the cabal.

Just watched Season 2 Episode one and wow, THAT is how you do a season premiere, get straight back into the story and don't pull any punches. Excellent development for this year.

I agree with the above posting it was Sanctuary's best episode to date, I can't wait for next week.

Yes, loved the episode. I hope they don't resolve the situation at the earliest opportunity. I hope this new development will be a big part of the entire season.

I liked the new girl too, maybe she will take Ashley's place in the Sanctuary.Invisible girl was good as well, I hope she gets a recurring role.

That was a very sad episode but very well handled. I hope we get to see all of John's "Closure".

I think so yes, otherwise they wouldn't have used an entire episode to chase every mad theory possible about what happened to her.

It is science fiction. She will probably turn up at some stage as a clone or something, but I hope not. I hope the rest of the season will be as good as the first few episodes.

Gee, Amanda Tapping is a great actress. I loved her in Stargate. It was a shock to suddenly see her with long dark hair. She looks great.

Didn't anyone notice that the real Ashley was belted down to the lab table and they made clones of her. Bet the real one is still in storage somewhere and they just killed off the clones. Me thinks that the Cabal gave up much too easy!!

Yes I was dissapointed that the Cabal gave up so fast.

WOW what an excellent script for this weeks episode. That must be one of the best ones so far or definitly up there in the top five. This is the sort of script that keeps shows alive. SGU would be wise to take note of this sucessful formula.

It was a superb episode, Sanctuary's own 'Epitaph One' and handled very well. The line about what happened to Druitt was superb.
