For laughs out loud, I watch The Daily Show and Psych... |
||
Aug 23, 2007 6:26AM |
For me, the Simpsons, Monk and Eureka. Even though Eureka isn't strictly speaking a comedy, it has a lot of humorous elements to it. |
||
Aug 23, 2007 8:16AM |
Well I enjoy many awesome comedy show's but im not the laughing out loud kinda guy. But that must be friends! some epoisodes make me actually laugh :) I've started to watch the colbert report now and thats a funny show =) OFFTOPIC btw, isnt it anyone who has the latest colbert report? |
||
Aug 23, 2007 10:09AM |
It's not a comedy show either but I couldn't stop laughing out loud watching some of the recent episodes of "The Closer". Apart from that I agree with buggsrabbit about Monk and Eureka. Very funny, even though I don't watch it regularly can be Boston Legal. |

Oct 22, 2007 10:16AM |
Well I enjoy many comedy shows , But Seinfeld and scrubs sure makes me laugh. |
||
Oct 22, 2007 10:18AM |
"Only Fools and Horses" was awesome in its day. Especially the blow-up doll episode! Oh, and any scene featuring Trigger! :P |
||
Oct 22, 2007 11:12AM |
i thought i had grown out of major network 30-min sit com TV but then i recently caught up on all the episodes so far for "30 Rock" - love Tina Fey so much i figured i really had to give it a go. And i am SHOCKED at how outrageously funny it is! really well written & the cast & acting is awesome. So i am definitely recommending 30 Rock to everyone. aside from that, i have to have my Daily Show, Colbert Report and Reno 911 fixes as scheduled. Also love carlos mencia's show. And then "weeds", on HBO is the BOMB, as was "Flight of the Conchords" - really hoping it gets picked up for another season for sure. |
||
Oct 22, 2007 3:14PM |
M*A*S*H* is very funny - there are some eps available on this site. NCIS is also very comedy-driven in some eps. Try the Kill Bill tribute (NCIS Kill Ari 1, season 3.01) which features leather and whips, phonesex and schoolgirl sex fantasies in an office setting. All the funnier for the dominatrix being the character who just got killed off.... Somewhat dark humour. |
||
Oct 22, 2007 7:59PM |
Weeds Kath & Kim The Chasers War On Everything Friends Scrubs Boston Legal Spicks & Specks Sienfeld |
||
Oct 22, 2007 11:01PM |
I'd second M*A*S*H for sure. Weeds..yea it's funny but it's not a laugh out loud show, 1 for sienfeld, scrubs Spicks and specks, for all those that don't know it a music trivia show basically, you don't reallylearn anything, but it's laugh out funny for sure 999999 for the chasers too, never gone an epidose without choking on food or even my own saviva and getting sore jaw muscles |
||
Oct 23, 2007 1:41AM |
@bhoddigrrl yea and Alec Baldwin is great in it |

I thought it sounded like a radio station. |
||
Oct 26, 2007 11:35AM |
A new show that is pretty funny is the big bang theory, writting is really good watched 3 episodes, should be great if they can keep it up, as for older shows WKRP was one of the top ones, who can forget when it was raining turkeys. |
||
Oct 26, 2007 11:45AM |
Anyone else annoyed by questions like this? The answer is relative. I think abortion jokes are funny, but most people would be 'offended'. I can't remember the last time a network sitcom made me laugh. In fact, I can't think of a program that made me laugh that wasn't part of the adult swim line up or aired on Comedy Central. I guess I often laugh at what I hear Fox News is reporting. (Lied. I love The Office) |
||
Oct 26, 2007 11:59AM |

You all must be really teeny boppers if you think loni anderson is that old she is 60 and is still a knock out not as hot as bailey but close the other great comedy that i used to watch was welcome back kotter It was very entertaining Gabe Kaplan was a Brilliant stand up at the time but the nose candy got to him Was not as sophisticated as wkrp but never the less quite good cheers mates BTW the reruns you saw were not quite the same as the orginal because of the copy write on the original music you had to be there |

* Vinnie Barbarino, the leader of the Sweathogs. A handsome, charming (and selectively air-headed) Italian-American. * Juan Epstein, the wild boy of the gang, a Puerto Rican Jew (or, more accurately, a Jewish Puerto Rican). * Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington, the hip African-American basketball enthusiast. * Arnold Horshack, the diminutive oddball of the Sweathogs known for his wheezing laugh. Kotter had attended the same remedial classes when he was a student at Buchanan and was a founding member of the Sweathogs. He soon befriends his students who often visit his Bensonhurst apartment, sometimes to the chagrin of his wife, Julie (Marcia Strassman). Most of the major characters of Welcome Back, Kotter were based on actual people from Kaplan's teen years as a remedial high school student in Brooklyn. As a stand-up comic, one of Kaplan's most popular routines was "Holes and Mellow Rolls", in which he talks in depth about the kids with whom he had attended remedial education classes. The names of three of the four major characters in Holes and Mellow Rolls were changed for the TV series. |

@windsorboyd i Did watch all of it and i completly see your point about Fern, she should never have one although she is completly different to what i thought she was going to be like, ie swearing and relativly funny. i thought the show has real potencial and instead of celebries i would rather see proper comedians, like the cast from whos ling isn it anyways would make the show Excellent!! :) |

Oh my God! I forgot to mention the funniest show I've ever seen...the one show that actually makes me cough and splutter in laughter... GREEN WING!! I don't know how many people will have seen that as it's a British sitcom/sketch/drama. Sue White's character is a creation of comedy genius. |
||
12 months ago |
green wing was great, Tamsin Greig was in another Black Books it was very funny and very surreal An old one that i forgot about is Drop the dead donkey it was set in a newsroom and was recorded a few days before airing so it featured topical news stories which they them ridiculed. I loved the fact that the writers didn't have long to come up with their scripts. |
||
12 months ago |
Yes i forgot about Drob the Dead Donkey @windsorboyd well rememberd loved that show! |

12 months ago |
@mrsjerry I used to watch kids in the hall too on Comedy Central (you'd have to be deaf not to notice their Canadian accents, lol) they were produced by the same guy that produces SNL, Lorne Michaels(Also Canadian and Jewish- originally named Lorne Michael Lipowitz) |
||
12 months ago |
@curious Yah eh, I guess you would notice their accents. I never thought about that cause I'm from Canada eh.lol eh! Mark McKinney started his comedy career in my hometown(Calgary) and went on to work on SNL in 1995. His brother is a writer/producer for shows such as Michael Moore's The Awful Truth and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Small world eh? |

@fozzybear - If you haven't seen Blackadder you are one of the most fortunate people in the world. Every episode of every season is a gem. Seriously, download some/all of Blackadder and enjoy the time of your life. @windsorboyd - Blackadder was made quite a few years ago but it is in no way dated. To me it is the epitome of humour. The seasons are all different and all equally hilarious. |
||
11 months ago |
@ Mekon I remember the first Blackadder as being the best, didn't watch a lot of the last series can't remember why. Don't you think it's funny watching 'Baldrick' on time team, i keep waiting for him to dig up an old ancester |
||
11 months ago |
@windsorboyd - Hi there. If anything, I found all the later series of Blackadder even funnier than the first. I have many of them on tape - they are true classic comedy. I have watched a couple of the Time Team programmes but am not a fan. |

I remember when blackadder first started i was about 17 i yhink, it was set in the middle ages and set around a loser yonger son (big bro was god's gift) and his despised loser freinds. Doesn't sound promising but it was hilarious, The series after that was a later period in history starrind descendants of the original one . I think it was the blackadder goes forth that i didn't watch. starting working evenings and missed most TV shows for about 7 years!! |
||
11 months ago |
you better start downloading then your 7 years behind |
