"Find Similar" is not very useful as currently implemented. When I think 'similar' I'm thinking of the nature of a series, not the actors. For example, I go a bundle on time travel and wild-talent themes. "The 4400" should match with "Heroes", and "Journeyman" with "Time Traveler's Wife" (I know, the film of that is not yet released, let alone any TV series - I should be so lucky - but that's the sort of 'similar' I would like to find).

Probably a lot harder to implement though, granted :-)

when you go to the "Journeyman" page on sharetv you'll already find a link to "Heroes" on the bottom and when you click on the Heroes page you'll already find a link to "The 4400". Plus there is a list of your Common Networks and Tags on the bottom of the Find Similar page which you can go through manually.

I am trying something completely different with this panel by matching related cast. Still looking for better ways to find new related shows. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

What I could do is add another tab to the Find Similar page to list all the similar shows found on the bottom of your show pages which you haven't added to your profile.

Now that would be good. perhaps by tag or combination of tags?

itcdr, use the LastFM method of recommendated songs.

1) analyze your favorite shows
2) compare to other's favotire shows, select few users with 80%-99% match
3) display their shows (excluding your favorites)

for example.
I have in favotires: Lost, House, Prison Break

person 1: Lost, house, Prison Break, smallville - 100% match
person 2: Lost, house, Prison Break, smallville, heroes - 100% match

ShareTV recommends me to watch:
smallville - 2 counts
heroes - 1 count

I have a problem:
Some part in my profile aren't work:
My Friend Requests (2) - that is wrote a week and nothing mean and
My Contributions aren't work, too.

you are not the only one there is a glitch in the counter for friends requests. Remember you must still leave a message to say you have requested friendship.

"my contributions" does not work because Admin (itcdr) still has functions within it to complete.

Nice additions, I posted a suggestion I think might be helpful, especially to mobile users.
