Moderators use that ability to assist in
spotting when Spammers are on site.

IC. I hope there will soon be some software that can allow only admin and moderators to overide the Hidden Status of members. Thanks for your intel quark.

Surely your account name does that for you.

It's just something I got used to on some other sites, I guess.
