films you hate and why

1st Star Wars

The Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones/Revenge of the Sith
the first set of films was good ,then came Lego looking storm troopers and silly puppets.the only good thing in it was Ewan McGregor.

2nd
this could have been a great film ,but ended up bargain basement.
Ghost Rider, boring storyline , Nicolas Cage usually is a good actor, but didn't stand a chance with this storyline.

This could go on for a while but for now I'll start with the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie. The studio has taken a decent story premise (the first movie) and turned it into pure crap. Idiotic storyline, preposturous events, and actors whom you could tell did not even want to be in the movie.

Any movie that that takes an historical event or person from history and grossly distorts the authenticity in the name of ticket sales.

any film with Kevin Costner
( except 3000 Miles to Graceland )
he is only good in this because his character has not much emotion ,that's how he is in all is roles ,

also
any film with ,Brendan Fraser i just dont get it with this guy he just spoils the films he's in .for me anyway .

romeo53, there's heaps of different movies in that category and some are good because they focus on supernatural things or drama instead of sobby rubbish (which bores me).

I still remember a heap of my friend making me go and see Tom Cruise in that painful Chick Flick. So painful I can't even remember the name of it. It's the one where they over did the sentence 'Show me the money!'
What rubbish that was.

Give me a good sci fi or drama flick any day. :)

Films I hate:

There are heaps but I hate the ones that show movies through a moving camera like Cloverfield. I won't even give them a chance any longer. As soon as I think they are going to be like that I fast forward to see if they still are in 30 minutes and if they are they get turned off.

Planet of the Apes 2001 Tim Burton
what a load of crap that was ,Tim Burton is good at visuals , but like hollow/Edward Scissorhands, the storylines are rubbish .and Helena Bonham Carter ,thou a good actress ,the way she portrayed Ari killed the film .on the good side

Michael Clarke Duncan Attar was good
Paul Giamatti Limbo was good
Tim Roth Thade was good

Ari and the storyline killed it ?
thank god there looks like a good new Planet of the Apes

That reminds me , doronsky, that other concepts I don't care for are prequels/sequels - for the sake of increasing box office profit - and remakes. Case in point: the original Planet of the Apes. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I gotta say, i'm not a big fan of the moving camera movies either. It's like someone has a helmet cam and that's how they're filming it. I went onto Youtube and watched a 2 1/2 minute clip on Cloverfield, which was mentioned earlier, and OMFG, my head was spinning after that short amount of time.

But, to a movie i hate:
GF suggested i watch Catwoman. As far as creating "Superheroes" goes, that has to be the crappiest one i've seen so far. I like Halle Berry, but this should go in the garbage.

According to wikipedia:
Awards and nominations This film received seven Golden Raspberry ("Razzie") nominations in 2005, including:
Worst Supporting Actress (Sharon Stone),
Worst Supporting Actor (Lambert Wilson) and
Worst Screen Couple (Halle Berry and either Benjamin Bratt or Sharon Stone).
It won in the categories of:
Worst Picture,
Worst Actress (Halle Berry),
Worst Director, and
Worst Screenplay.
Berry arrived at the ceremony to accept her Razzie in person, with her Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball in hand, and said:
"First of all, I want to thank Warner Brothers. Thank you for putting me in a piece of shit, god-awful movie... It was just what my career needed."

a film i dont like.. how about... Little man. or any tyler perry movie. I like ghetto movies.. but there is ghetto.. and there is racist for the sake of being sold. i know stupid is as stupid does, and every demographic needs a movie every now and then.. Particularly i dont like any of his movies is because they cast a "cool" attitude when it comes to welfare recipients and low income areas.. like its hip to be broke and in the system. I know not everyone has $ in the real world, and hardships are plenty in some areas of the world. so i am not trying to cast an ill light. What i am saying is that the stereotypes portrayed in his movies make me ill to think about. because after the movie is over.. i genually feel stupid, like i wasted my time.. my braincells, a portion of my life.. and worse than that.. somehow whatever i pay for cable or a movie.. goes to the idiot who made it. but eh. life is short.. why be bothered too much. racism isnt funny. and neither is tyler perry

Maybe I'm just to old but,

[ul][li]Remake - Recreating a previously released film.[/li]
[li]Reboot - Doing a "fresh start" re-launch of a previously established franchise or character.[/li]
[li]Reinterpretation - Creating a unique new cinematic vision of literary source material.[/li][/ul]Most originals were well done. There are plenty of new books and source material out there, make a new classic. Leave the originals alone.
