Hello guys, I just got back from being out of town and when I got home it seems my downloads are really slow - Just to be clear torrents are only affected a little bit and usenet is getting full speed(around 600KB/s) but downloading anything from firefox or chrome I can't seem to get past 50KB/s steam is also getting 200-300KB/s

I tried disabling IPv6 in firefox and still download slow from anywhere, doesn't matter where I download from, I still get around 50KB/s and running a test on speedtest.net I get around 100KB/s to the closest server(Calgary)

I'm just wondering if anybody has an idea as to why my download speed could be so slow, just throw in your ideas and I'll try them out tomorrow.

On wikipedia search for firefox about:config settings. There is one to limit speed in firefox, you just type about:config into a browser window and you can adjust any setting there.

Another Note: Free Download Manager downloads very fast as well, It seems everything that uses multiple connections downloads very quickly and single connections are extremely slow, could that be an ISP issue?

check, speed up and down ,there are lots of sites that will do that for you.

you can see if your isp is giving you the speed they say they are .

No need to disable IPv6,please read the information provided by this URL:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6

If you use Windows,have you used the patch?If so set your half open connections to 50 and in your client on the advanced tab set it to 20 to 30 half-open connections.

Disabling IPv6 could restrict you from connecting with peers who use this protocol,including myself.

Wish we had editing fuction,I will return to this thread with the

find u torrent on line, you will find speeds faster.
