I took a bit of a break from watching TV. Now that I've returned, I notice that ShareTV no longer hosts torrents. The reasons are probably obvious, but I've just looked through the show pages for all my favorite shows and found nothing but a few episodes I could watch on the site. No past episodes, and no full seasons.

I read in another thread that there were places on the show page for torrents, but I see nothing. Additionally, what's the purpose of ShareTV these days if not to provide torrent listings? Please help.

The reasons the site has changed is because

1. The site is more for giving and receiving of info on TV shows.
2. It was impractical, not to say illegal, to continue as originally set-up.
3. Most members interact in the forums to tell each other where torrent info is, including when necessary posting URLs for specific torrents. Some even say where they have uploaded to.
4. Almost all of the popular shows can be found on EZTV.IT which we know to be a clean torrent site.
5. We no longer have links to torrent sites as this is also construed to be illegal and would prevent us developing the video links with sites such as Hulu which is ongoing and we ask for members patience whilst more are obtained.
6. There is no illegality in members discussing torrents, how to obtain them, and what software is needed.

Our administrator felt that a site such as we have now become could not be illegal and would still serve the purpose of sharing info about TV shows and thus survive where others are closed down intermittantly or forever.

Hope the above gives you some insights and you will stay with us.
