I am with BT Total Broadband. I have been downloading losts of stuff using Utorrent 1.7.7. I've had no problems using it however i was told i should only use it with peerguardian. Can i keep downloading as i have done or will my isp will find out and cut me off.

Peer Guardian is great protection when downloading.It blocks anti-P2P orgs. and others from hitting your ports and finding out what your downloading.It is highly recommended that you use protection like this when d/ling.

Read the FAQ.The download is free.Run it the same time you d/l.

Just be a bit cautious if you have windows Vista, unless there has been an update recently that I am unaware of, pg2 is not compatible with vista.
Bluetack's ProToWall Blocklist manager is compatible however.

In addition to the great advice from Nog and Paddedbag, I would suggest doing a keyword search for forum threads related to PeerGuardian, you'll find about 10 or so, just type

peer

and hit enter...
