I have noticed many quires about download speeds with uTorrent and its different versions. The only thing that seemed to help me was to spoof the program.

1. Goto [OPTIONS] click the [SPEED GUIDE] run Dslreports.
Use the farthest away connection shown for you location.
Write down the UP/Dl speeds the report gives you.
Then return to [SPEED GUIDE].

2. Scroll down Current Connections to the MAX Connection
Speed and click/set that as your connection.

3. Click [Preferences][BitTorrent] and write down the
settings found there.

4. Go back to the [Speed Guide] scroll down Current
Connections and Click/set your correct connection speed.

5. Click [Preferences][BitTorrent] and enter the settings
from step 3.

6. Goto [Queuing] and make any settings you want.
(I use 9 and 3).

Your uTorrent program is now spoofed for the fastest speeds and most connections.

which version of uTorrent is this? cuz it seems that mine is a little different.

It should work for all uTorrent versions.
I have used it for both 1.6.1 and also newest 1.7.5

Joker, since this type of thing is my husband's specialty (yes, I'm female btw ha ha), can you send it to me via email please? I tried to copy and paste but the forum doesn't like you to do that. I also got the message you sent to quark - saw it when I posted there. Thanks. Also, you said something in my guest book about tracking something rather than cut/paste? This means absolutely nothing to me - would you be able to email me with that, too, please? I know I'm a nuisance but I am learning lots of things and would love to know more about downloading so teach me anything you see that I need to know if you feel like it. Your request would be better directly to Joker's Guest Book as this thread is more for information now than an ongoing one. Anyway your post 'bumped' it anyway.

BTW the only way any one has access to your EMail address is if you post it. That is best done in someones Guest Book or in your 'about me' on your profile page for all to see.
