just wondering what people thought of the olympics opening ceremony to me it looked spectacular some of the things they did were incredable
maybe this should have been titled:\
Olympics Opening Ceremony
so members knew what you were talking about.
Yes, they were incredable.
yes they were Great !
they were, it was spectacular, it must have cost a fortune. Anyone else think that the olympics seems very low key this time around, i almost forgot it was starting
It was brilliant, shame about the people attempting to protest earlier on today at the first few events.
I never watch the opening ceremonies,I find them boring.Don't expect me to watch the closing ceremony either...sport on he other hand,Football(of course),boxing, athletics, rowing, swimming & womens beach volleyball ;)
I thought it was some pretty amazing stuff. Heard they spent in excell of 300 million dollars for the show. Just mind boggling.
The Chinese spent 40 billion dollars for the whole shabang.
The $40 billion price tag also includes the price of shutting down all of Beijing for 20 days.
I am not watching anything about them my own little protest
40 billion dollars how many people think that would have fed ?
I heard that the Chinese government intend housing the poorest in the Olympic village once the Games are over and making the sporting facilities available to the public at large.
That is not only in Beijing but elsewhere where specialist sports are housed as well.
So $40 billion is further massively reduced by this.
Not to mention the improvements made in infra-structure. (Roads, Water, Electricity etc.,)
My wife and I actually bought our Plasma TV just a few days before. Have to say watching the opening was an instant highlight that really showed off just how amazing the TV looked and what can be done in HD. Overall was beautiful.
Olympics Ceremony is always good.
