We've had the opposite thread, and I was wondering what members thought would make a decent film, and also, what has been made (in your opinions) which have been flops.

There was talk of 24 being made into a film. it would be interesting to see how they would do that.
Cartoons usually get made into films, eg, tom and jerry, spongebob etc

Stargate is good.. and I think they've made/are making 2 dvd releases. But then again, that was movie to tv, no back to DVD. Battlestar Galactica would be nice. And I thought Serenity was a good film (from firefly).

well lets see the first get smart movie sucked have not seen the latest one yet but apparently it is quite good the series from the UK Ultimate Force if done properly would make a great movie as would Doctor Who it could like a prequel with the time wars against the daleks actually with prequels you could turn a lot of series into movies

I like the idea of prequels. The problem I was having with turning tv shows to movies is that they would have to dumb down too much for those who hadn't seen the established series... but a prequel solves that...

Talking of prequels

What about a prequel leading up to the disaster that overtook "Red Dwarf" only 2 characters (The Cat & Kryton) would be missing.

As to sequels "The Dead Zone" "ReGenesis" "Randall & Hopkirk Deceased"

Also "The Lost Room" and there must be many more 'Mini-series' suitable for conversion to Movies.

How about Moonlight,or New Amsterdam?
I myself would like to see either as a movie.
And I would realy like to see another Firefly movie, because Serenity was a great movie.

Would like to see a "Heros" movie or "Black Adder" movie.

an iron man 2 movie would be a good movie

I hear they are doing a Friends movie with all the cast from the series, don't know if that'll work now, they all will have too bigger egos as to who will be top of the cast list. 3rd Rock From The Sun would have been a good one when the show was at it's peek on tv.

more stargate sg-1 movies would be great but it may be some time off due to atlantis still going and the new stargate universe starting next year can't wait for that one

I believe they wrapped everything up on SG-1, but they could probably pull off a Stargate Atlantis Movie. Although they may wait like they did with SG-1.

here is an oldie I just finished rewatching the series after damn near 40 years The Champions I would love to see it made into movie trilogy or more or for that matter remade as a new TV series mind you it would be hard to find an actress of Alexandra Bastedo ilk I had forgotten how beautiful she is she goes beyond hot into gaga land even now at 61 she is as beautiful as she was in 1968 for all you youngsters out there who were not even born when this series came out dl and watch it

True Blood and Dexter as movies....I prefer long drawn out seasons though, then you can really get a good fix :)
