Only trouble is when say you get thread of the month
Someone else may think their's is better and be upset thinking hey he's friends with quark there's something fishy here.LOL
Besides we have still to finalise the forum in it's present state without bringing further item(s) of subjective decision making.
I agree any idea which improves the site and is adopted by admin. is worthy of reward. But that should be 100% at admin's discretion and not bandied about.

but if the mod's choose and all put in a vote who eles is going to know who picks who there are a few mod's now so it's not like there's only a couple of you

or if everyone could vote the best one (except the one they make) with one vote per day then you could make the best week's thread (and we could make an weekly series - LOL)

I like the everybody voting idea, but there are alot of threads trust me I just joined and have been reading them.

It might just make it more confusing.

Maybe just let admin pick one?

@quark nagila Dont you feel there are just to man threads to go thru even for all the mods it would take hours to read a month worth of threads under every topic of discussion let alone Chris doing it the show reviews maybe but even then there are a lot shows and nobody watches all of them or checks them out,I know the point system seems tougher now however I can't see how else to get points hell even I don,t dont completely understand the system mind you have not really looked at for ages. And like joker as long as I can download and upload and say my piece or help newbie points are not all that important

To add to the confusion: also note that some of the most popular threads are the ones with the most drift in them, often having little to do with the original posted topic...so in this case its the participants driving the popularity, not the thread-starter...

I understand your intent, but I don't believe a point reward would give you the results you're seeking, likely it would just mean "more" threads.

Anyone who looks back at the Site Requests forum section would likely be amazed by the number of excellent suggestions for the site that members have provided...

I just don't think we need to "induce" members to provide good threads or suggestions for the site.

If you'd like to see Admin and member discussion about the proposed process for "best answer" voting in the forum, please take a look at this thread...

Read my response again I was not in favour of a thread of the month.

Except that any adopted idea should be rewarded by admin. at his discretion.
