Back to uTorrent 1.6.1

DO NOT USE 1.7.4 AND UP

Had updated to 1.7.5 and everything seemed fine for a few days.

Came back from hospital Tusday and screen was wacky.
Fixed that. Updated and ran Nortons 2007 everything ok.

Got up yesterday morning and all DLS had crashed.
Did Force Re-Check on uTorrent and Update Trackers.
No luck. Exited and restarted uTorrent and tried again, NaDA.

Checked my system, shutdoen and restarted. No D: drive.
This had 110GB Tv Shows and 200GB movies ALL GONE.

Spent yesterday and last night Trying to recover everything. Got most but not all.

Not trying to start any arguments just thought people should know.

Sorry to here that bro, 300 gigs of goodness gone, God-damn utorrent.

Thanks for that information Joker, it must have been very frustrating! You mentioned your D drive, have you partioned your hard drive, or is it an external drive? I only ask because I wonder if it could be causing a conflict with uTorrent (if the program is running off your C drive but storing files on a separate D drive, perhaps?). Anyway, hope you are recovering well after having to go to the hospital...

Although I've had no problems to-date, I see from the forum that others have... BTW, my specs: Windows XP, uTorrent 1.7.5, DSL router from ActionTec, no partitoned or external hard drives.

How about we use this thread to post reports of additional problems following an upgrade?

Have 2 drives C: & D:. C:drive is for Programs and Editing. D:drive is for DLing mainly uTorrent and storage.

System is Windows XP Govenment Edition(don't ask).
C:drive is 90GB SATA. D:driveis 400GB ATA. No partitions.
Contected to DSL with a Sprint/Embarq modem.
Nothing is Partitioned. Nothing running Compressed.
Using Nortons for security with 60min updates.
Using PerfictDisk for defragmenbting.

joker, I also stick with uTorrent 1.6. the upgrade seems to just mess things up

I had problems with 1.7.4 only... so far the latest update is alright

Yeah i didn't switch to 1.7 yet either. It has major problems. Most important of all, most private trackers block it because it leeks IP's or something of that nature. And Joker, I suggest you take that peace of $hit software known as Norton. It will make your rig run twice as fast. Well not really but it would help alot :D
For firewall i recommend Comodo and AV use NOD32
