Never tried any of them personally. What do you think you would gain by installing them? Would they give you better search capabilities on their site? I think it is just more junk clogging up the hard drive.

No sorry I have never tried any of them, nor would I. I am very suspicious of these types of bars, they invariably come embedded with something nasty from my experience.

What I do use is the excellent search bar by Dr. Evil an add-on for mozilla firefox.
One of the search bars available to me on there is 'Toogle' a torrent search engine, which I find excellent. Other search engines available on the bar and that I have selected out of a list of options, include imdb, widipedia, answers.com, flickr, all available at one click.

edit for above, I meant, "One of the search engines available to me on there" not "One of the search bars"

no don`t do it they can be good if you dl alot but still more down sides then good .

sigh...edit #2 It is not by Dr.Evil, the Dr Evil thing is an additional addon to the firefox search engines bar.

i think i would have to agree with nerys. i tend to stay clear of installing search bars...but, i was a little tempted by a torrent one.

I use one from and for Firefox browser,"TorrentBar 0.9.1.7". Saves alot of time searching all the popular search engines for a file.Type the file you are after in the bar and click on search, a list of all the popular search engines pops up,your search is on and easy.Very helpful tool.
A good place for info. about the add-ons offered is the forum of the site with the offering.

Yeah toogle does the same thing on firefox nog. There are so many safe add-ons for firefox to choose from, not just search engines.

Bottom line is, if you aren't using firefox for your browser, why aren't you?

i have firefox too, i don't use the torrent search because i usually try torrentz.com from the show page on here. My daughter uses it though she says it's good. I never remember its there lol

nope a way for them to follow you . got enough of that here.

with rss feed I don't need to but I used to with the firefox search bar add ons things. never had a problem with the normal trusted sites like demoniod, isohunt, mininova and piratebay.

I use torrent finder add on for firefox. It has worked fine for me.

some time fake torrent take your nerves i trust Vuze_3.1.1.0_windows which Automaticly align for the best seeded torrents which i found so far the better .

And i dont think torrents like toolbar will do any real good
