Why were the latest 2 episodes of The Office (20 & 21), not tracked?

How did I loose 10 points in 24 hours?

There are various reasons some of which could be.

1. Someone has removed you from their friends list
2. Some addition to the sites database you made was deemed below standard and removed.
3. You were previously credited with points erroneously which the system has now put right.
4. You may have removed shows/characters etc., from your profile which has reduced your credit for same as it has taken you below the maximum for these.

For what it is worth I lost 104 points yesterday. Therefore I believe no.3.above may be the cause for both of us.

Please be aware that the point system is always reviewing itself and making corrections where necessary.

eg. You load something 1 hour before daily update. You get credited. However you realise 2 hours later it should be corrected. You do so and get credited again. Sooner or later the system will recognize both actions refer to the same thing and credit for one will be removed. Appreciate this is simplistically put but it gives the idea.

This tends to happen because points are updated on a daily basis.
The longer the time between updates the less corrections would be needed.

Thanks Quark, I was just wondering. I guess being 192 or 208 out of 200000, doesn't really make a difference. I'm happy this site exists, specially now with autumn show starting soon. So thanks again.

That is a very useful description of what's been happening to me too - ta! I hadn't quite understood some of the ramifications, esp. merging repeat actions. Makes sense.

Right, I took your advice, found some shows with images missing, and now I've crossed into 'expert' land
ex: a has-been

I am now looking where it says

1200-2499 expert increased limits for submissions

Do you happen to know exactly what that means? I was wondering whether it meant that the posted maxima for these here actions would be increased, 'cos I can;t see anything which puts limits on any of the other actions :-

Rate Show (max 15 points per day, 60 total)
Add a show/character to your profile (max 25 points)
Add a friend to your profile (max 20 points)
Another user adds you as a friend (max 50 points)
Add show review (max 5 points)

Any enlightenment welcomed.

Good question I wish I could be sure of a good answer. LOL.

I think this was for some extension of privileges that have yet to be implemented and the rankings are yet to be revised to accomodate. This is probably due to the other things needed to be worked upon with a higher priority.

Also you will have noticed that points are not publicly displayed. So currently the rank would appear to be just a way of defining a more proficient member so others can see their 'expertise'.

So short of becoming a Moderator you have all the abilities currently available to the membership at large.
