What is this?

it appears that you must both agree to be friends before you are added to each others list. The friends requests you have will be from people who had added you as a friend but you didn't add back. I have a couple from people who haven't been onsite for 4 months and i had no idea they had added me lol.

But the people on my requests have not added me or asked to add me,I have never refused an invite,that is why it has me confused...

you don't show up on their list till you add them, they will have added you previously and because you did not know that, you couldn't add them back and the system now classes this as a friend request

i too find this confusing . i have a few requests that i didnt know about, i feel a bit bad as one member hasnt been back on for 4 months .was it me !!.

The profiles are still being worked on to make this process easier. Should be more helpful by the end of the week.

@admin....will there be an option to remove the names from our list of 'friends requests' from those members that have not been on the site for quite a while, and also from those members that just add everyone?

There should be an option to accept or reject Friend Request.

lol thanks i felt like a dummy. I kept clicking on their name trying to find a "approve" button. I didnt even know this site had a forum. lol.

had requests from months ago I just found about about I feel like chyt not adding them a lot of them have not been on site for months

Those requests not responded to could only have been those who DID NOT ask in the guestbook, to my memory I have only refused one offer of friendship made by a posting in my guestbook/messages
The others must be those that added without notifying so do not
feel that way cap'n its not your fault it was theirs for not telling you.

Ok, Silly question time, how do I delete the requests that are in the Friends Request.

At this point, you cant delete them.

Ok, two months has passed since I asked this question.

How do I delete the requests that are in the Friends Request.

I have had two people show up in my list and I have know idea who they are and they both can not be bothered to reply to my private messages to them.

So when do we get the button to remove unwanted Friends Requests.

@Ice, I do not know for sure, but the Friends Request system is listed as a Priority in Chris's ToDo List sharetv.org/forum/requests/Q_105166 so I'm sure he is working on it if it's even possible.

@Admin There is a glitch in Friends Request that was reported to me. Here is the gist of it quoted from the pm. " qbert has added someone as a friend and they say they have done the same. When we (qbert and myself) log into his page and look up tash845 it shows her added. But on Tash's end it still show qbert is requesting"

I have just sent a Friend Request to Tash, just to test it again. I am waiting for her to add me and I will report back here.

Ty Iceman, yes I am continuing to receive messages from members about the Friends Request problem. They cannot be deleted, and if someone adds you w/o your permission they stay in your request list.

It is unecessary to 'bump' this thread as I know that Admin has it in mind to complete the friend request system as soon as possible.

Please appreciate that other jobs do crop up and take a higher priority.
