Hi Bill, what is that you're trying to do on ShareTV (that you can't do because you're using a Mac?) For example, if you're trying to view videos, are you in the U.S.? If not, please use the keyword search function to search for threads about proxy servers and HotSpot Shield... Let us know if we can help with any specifics... |

Hi kolbinfo, I'm in the States. I go to a listing of TV programs, select one, it says download torrent - I do. It's now on my Desktop. Then what? Thanks, Bill Sommer |

@wfsommer, You will need a bittorrent client that is compatible with your OS.I suggest googling "bittorrent client for Mac OS 10.5".Read all the instructions carefully and the FAQ.If you have problems beyond that, you are welcome to leave your questions in my guestbook.I will be happy to help get you started. @wfsommer, After doing some searching myself,I found a light weight application that would be right for you:Transmission 1.60.I suggest staying away from Azureus because it is a resource hog and will slow you down. The download is free and is open source.Google the name you will find it. |

Okay, now I understand - you want to download and watch torrents. In addition to any advice offered, here are some Mac threads that discuss torrent clients and players, you'll need both (and they're free)... sharetv.org/forum/downloads/Q_102889 sharetv.org/forum/downloads/Q_103353 Feel free to click on a member's avatar, which will bring you to their profile page, and click on their guest book to leave a message. As you're just getting started with torrents, I will suggest uTorrent as your bittorrent client and VLC as your media player. |

True, Nog, uTorrent has not issued a Mac-version, but Mac users are still utilizing uTorrent... That's why I included the links for Mac-related threads. If you, or anyone else knows that uTorrent will NOT work with the OS 10.5 (what is that, Leopard?), please let us know in this thread. Bill, to learn more about making uTorrent work with Mac, you can visit the uTorrent forum and do a "mac" keyword search. http://forum.utorrent.com/ Many private torrents sites have banned the use of sub-standard bittorrent clients (for example, IP Torrents bans Transmissions), so I never recommend anything other than uTorrent or Azureus... |
