In reading some of the Posts and Comments I have seen where various members have said some of theirs have been deleted.

According to Chris in a privious statment this can not be done.

Having gone to the Sitemape and read everything there he also says that mods and admins can do this if they think it is inappropriate.

If this is done it would be only common curtisy to place a comment in the offenders GuestBook so that they know why.

Where this is done I believe Admin does admonish the culprit and point out the reasons for any deletion.

Certainly we have all seen spammer type posts disappear.

I agree, deleting a post and not telleng them why would not solve the problem with the posts, only make people angry that their post was deleted.

Moderators still cant delete..

@toh at the bottom of the points page is this statment.

moderator override/delete other user's submissions, force-accept answers in forum, participate in moderator forum.

it is not working yet.
moderator can override other user's uploaded image.

It would be nice that when a post is deleted (example: HULU posts) that they also be deleted from the search list in the forums. Find it a bit irritating that when you have searched for something that has been deleted that it takes you to the login page.

Please could you specify the exact thread title that this has occurred with?

Removed threads should not appear in a search or indeed in your forum posts.

I note there are 2 threads in Moderator Chat that have Hulu in the title. Again these should not appear in a search made by you.

I have found what the problem is and reported same to Admin.

You were trying to access Moderator threads which were wrongly displayed for all members when searching.

There was a bad post in that thread so it was temporarily removed
so that admin could delete the bad posting and it was then restored.
The member who made the bad post has been advised of the deletion and why.
